Bundle Builder

The Bundle Builder section lets customers build their own bundle: they pick products from a grid, see the bundle price and their savings live in a bundle box, and check out with a bundle discount. It is a powerful way to increase average order value (AOV).

The section was rebuilt in Momentum 1.1.0: discount type and value, savings display, a "Best value" badge, separate styles for the two buttons and all bundle box texts are now settings in the theme editor.

Adding The Section

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Edit theme on your Momentum theme.
2. In the sidebar, click Add section and choose Bundle Builder.
3. Click Add block → Product for every product customers can choose. Each block has Select product, Star count and Review text.

Setting Up The Discount

The bundle price shown in the section is a preview. The actual discount comes from a Shopify discount code:

1. In Shopify admin, create a discount code under Discounts (e.g. BUNDLE20).
2. Enter exactly the same code in Discount code to apply.
3. Set Discount type and Discount value to the same value as the Shopify discount, so the preview matches checkout.
4. Pause automatic discounts that cannot be combined with the bundle code.

When the customer clicks Get Your Bundle, the cart is replaced by the bundle products, the code is applied and the customer goes straight to checkout.

Settings

Content Settings

• Uppertitle, Title, Subtitle, Heading alignment.
• Discount code to apply: must exactly match the code in Shopify admin.

Bundle pricing & savings

• Discount type: Percentage (%) or Fixed amount ($).
• Discount value: e.g. 20 = 20% off, or a fixed amount in store currency (0–100).
• Show savings as: Percentage and amount, Percentage only or Amount only.
• Regular price label, Bundle price label, You save label, Save amount label: all texts in the bundle box are now editable.
• Show Best value badge when discount unlocks: shows a badge as soon as the minimum number of products is reached.
• Best value badge text: default "Best value".

Bundle Box Settings

• Bundle box heading, Bundle box subtitle, Bundle list title, Bundle header alignment.
• Colors: Background color, Heading color, Text color, Price color, Savings text color, Best value badge background, Best value badge text.

Grid Settings

• Products per row (desktop): 2–4.
• Products per row (mobile): 1 or 2.
• Minimum products to activate bundle: 1–4. The discount and the checkout button unlock once this number is reached.

Product Cards Settings

• Card styling and Grid gap: theme default or custom.
• Show review stars, Show price, Card clickable, Card title two line, Secondary image on hover.
• Show variants: lets customers choose options (flavor, size, color) before adding a product. Each variant keeps its own quantity.
• Card typography: sizes for title, quantity, price, savings and supporting text (desktop and mobile).
• Custom card styling: container styling, shadow, card background, paddings, border and corner radius.

Colors, typography and layout

• Colors: color scheme or custom (Background color supports gradients, Text color, Subtitle color, Star color).
• Heading & text sizes, Headline typography, Font family.
• Section width, Custom Anchor ID, Display on, Section padding.

Button Settings

• Show arrow button, Button icon image, Button google icon.
• Add to Bundle button text (default "Add to Bundle") and Get Your Bundle button text (default "GET YOUR BUNDLE NOW").

Add to Bundle button style

• Add to Bundle style: Global (uses Theme settings → Button) or Custom.
• Custom: Border size, Border color, Corner radius, Background color, Text color.

Get Your Bundle button style

• Get Your Bundle style: Global or Custom (default Custom: white button with black text).
• Custom: Border size, Border color, Corner radius, Background color, Text color.

Payment Icons

• Show payment icons plus one toggle per method (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, PayPal, Amazon, Shopify Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay).

Upgrading From An Earlier Version

The old shared button settings (Settings, Button border size, Button border color, Button corner radius, Button color, Button text color) have been replaced by the two separate style groups Add to Bundle button style and Get Your Bundle button style. Shopify does not transfer the old values. After updating, open the section and re-check both button styles.

Also check:

• Products per row (desktop) is now limited to 4 and Minimum products to activate bundle to 4. Higher values are capped at 4.
• Discount type and Discount value match your Shopify discount code.

Tips

• Offer a meaningful incentive (e.g. 15–20%) and pick products that naturally belong together.
• Use the Subtitle to state the rule clearly, e.g. "Pick any 3 items and unlock exclusive bundle pricing."
• Test the full flow once: add products, check the savings in the bundle box, click Get Your Bundle and confirm the discount appears at checkout.
