Collection Product Grid
The section behind every collection page: the product grid, the filter and sort toolbar above it, and the pagination below. It is added by the collection template, so you find it under Customize → Collections → Default collection → Product grid. The card settings (image ratio, swatches, quick add) are covered under Product Cards in Global Settings and in Customizing Product Image Aspect Ratios; this page is about the toolbar.
Product count in the toolbar
Most shops print the number of products next to the filter and sort controls. The Momentum toolbar can do the same. Under the Filters heading of the section:

The count sits between the filter button and the sort dropdown, on the same line and in the same size as the two buttons, slightly muted so the controls stay the focus. The divider makes it read as part of the toolbar rather than a stray label; turn it off if your toolbar is already busy. It follows the shop language: 24 products in English, 24 Produkte in German.
The default of 16px is the size of the filter and sort buttons. A smaller count sits visibly lower than the word Filter next to it, because the toolbar aligns its items at the top.
Products, or Filtered of total

Filtered of total is the more useful one whenever your collections have filters. A shopper who narrows down to a size sees at once that the collection is bigger than the eight products in front of them, and that clearing the filter brings the rest back. Without a filter both options print the same plain number, so nothing looks odd on a collection that has no filters at all.
Updates with every filter change
Filters and sorting on the collection page work without a page reload. The count is part of what the theme swaps out on each change, so the number is always the one that matches the grid below it. Screen readers announce the new number as well.
When the count says something else than you expect
The count is the number of products in the collection as the shop sees it: products that are not published to the online store are not counted, and a sold-out product is still counted unless a filter removes it. If a number seems off, open the collection in the admin and compare it with the product list there.
On existing shops the setting is Hide until you switch it on. Updating the theme changes nothing on a collection page that never touched it.
