Shipping Checkpoints Block (Product Page)
The Shipping Checkpoints block shows customers a three-step delivery timeline directly in the product buy box: Ordered → Order ready → Delivered, each with an icon, a label and a calculated date. It answers the single most conversion-relevant shipping question — "when will I get it?" — honestly and automatically.
Unlike the older Timeline block (delivery mode), Shipping Checkpoints:
- treats step 1 as the order date (today), not the dispatch date,
- can count workdays only, skipping weekends and German public holidays (including movable holidays like Easter),
- shows the delivery date as a realistic range ("5 Sep – 9 Sep"),
- supports an order cutoff hour that shifts all dates by one day after the cutoff — with an optional countdown line.
Adding The Block
- Open the theme editor and navigate to a product page.
- In the Product Information section, click "Add block".
- Choose Shipping Checkpoints. One block per product section.
- Place it below the Add-to-Cart block — that is where customers look for delivery information.
Settings
Content
- Heading — e.g. "Estimated delivery".
- Show calculated dates — turn off to show only labels without dates.
Checkpoints 1–3
Each checkpoint has a Label (e.g. Ordered / Shipped / Delivered) and an Icon (checkmark, cart, package, truck, home, location pin).
Timing
- Processing time — days from order to "order ready" (0–10).
- Delivery time minimum / maximum — days after "ready" until delivery; shown as a date range (set both equal for a single date).
- Count workdays only — skips Saturdays, Sundays and German public holidays in all calculations. Recommended for shops shipping from/within Germany.
Order cutoff
- Enable cutoff time + Cutoff hour (24h) — orders placed after the cutoff hour shift every date by one day, so the promise stays honest around the clock.
- Countdown text — optional urgency line;
[countdown]is replaced with the remaining time until cutoff (e.g. "Order within [countdown] for same-day processing"). Leave empty to show no countdown at all — the dates still shift correctly after cutoff. Only use this if the cutoff is real.
Date
- Date language — German or English month/weekday names.
- Date format — long/short with or without weekday, or numeric (DE
05.05./ international).
Style
Colors for accent (active step and progress line), icons (active/upcoming), line, background, border, text and date; plus icon size, font sizes, border radius, paddings and block margins — enough to match any brand palette without code.
Tips
- Keep the promise conservative: it is better to deliver a day early than a day late.
- Pair it with a matching sentence in your shipping accordion/tab so buy box and detail information tell the same story.
- If you use the countdown text, make sure the cutoff is operationally real — fake urgency erodes trust.
